Meet Winnie
This spunky little floof is an absolute doll! She might only be 12 weeks old and 9 lbs, but little WInnie has a lot of personality… and we love it. We aren’t quite sure what breed she is (waiting on DNA results), but we think she might be a Keeshond mix or a Pomsky mix. Whichever breed, she’s all FLUFF. She’ll probably be between 35 - 45 lbs at maturity.
Winnie loves to bounce around the yard and house. She is really starting to love toys and she absolutely loves other dogs. We’ve put her in front of a cat and she couldn’t have cared less. Please keep in mind she is still very much in her bitey mouthy puppy phase. Her foster is working on this with her. You will need to be mindful if you have small kids. She’s working on potty training and sleeps in her puppy pen through the night without a peep.
WINNIE IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG. She has an underlying Neurological disease of unknown origin. It causes an ataxic gait- slow proprioceptive responses in her rear legs. This makes her a little off balance and uncoordinated. She is not in any pain, she can still walk/run/use bathroom on her own. The vet believes she can probably adapt to her disability. Only time will tell. There is no cure for this, it will be a lifelong issue.
