Meet Bouie

Meet Bouie, a distinguished gentleman with impeccable manners! This 6-year-old, 55-pound, black Labrador Retriever is tall, lean, and oh-so-handsome. House-trained and crate-trained, Bouie also walks well on a leash and harness. With his relaxed, easygoing nature, Bouie is the perfect companion for a laid-back lifestyle. He’s content to spend most of the day napping on a cozy couch but still enjoys a short daily walk and basking in the sunshine in the yard.

Bouie is a gentle soul who loves human company. He graciously accepts attention and affection and, when the mood strikes, will sweetly ask for a snuggle. With his calm personality and soft nature, he gets along well with his foster’s dog and may do well with other dogs after a thoughtful introduction.

Bouie’s journey has been one of resilience. Originally surrendered to the Dallas shelter as a puppy, he was adopted quickly, only to be found as a stray six years later. Despite his past, he remains a sweet, loving soul, ready to find a forever home where he can truly belong.
